Day 1: Friday, April 4   (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

EAST SANCTUM (MAHADWARA)

* Sabha Praarthana  (5:30PM TO 5:40PM)

Here we are asking permission from Bhagavan and attending devotees to perform the sacred rituals of PRANA PRATHISHTAPANA for the next three days.

* Sankalpa (Solemn resolve)   

During this ceremony the priest recites the global location of this particular place, date, time, thithi, nakshatra etc. as per the Hindu calendar and also states the purpose of the worship.

* Maha Ganapathi Pooja  (5:40  PM TO 6PM)

Lord Ganesha is the remover of all the obstacles and hence he is worshipped at the beginning of each ceremony to have a successful day of celebrations.

*Vaasudeva Shuddhi Punyaahavaachanam  (6PM TO 6:15PM)

A cleansing ceremony to purify the place, articles used for the celebration, and people performing the ceremony.  Holy water will be sprinkled while chanting the Shuddhi Mantras.

*Raksha Bandhanam  (6:15 TO 6:30PM)

This is the action of tying sacred thread around the wrist.  This will be done by the priest to the other priests and to the participating devotees.  Once this action is done, rest of the ceremony will continue without any interruption.

*Mruthsangrahana  (6:30 TO 6:45PM )

MRUTH is mud and Sangrahana means collecting.  It is a ritual of worshipping the earth and collecting the mud from earth.

YAAGASHAALA

*Ankuraarpanam  (7PM TO 7:15 PM)

Ankurarpanam is the rite in which the Navadhanyas or nine types of grains are placed in a potted soil and watered.  In a few days, the grains will produce sprouts of all varieties. Their germination and growth signifies the symbolic beginning and prosperous growth of the Devalayam, the abode of  Bhagavan.

*DWAJAROHANAM  (7:15 TO 7:25PM)

A ceremony on the first day of starting  a Mahothsava by hoisting a flag  over the temple’s DWAJASTHAMBA. This formally invites all the three crore deities mentioned in the Shastras to participate in the Auspicious Religious event.

*Ankuraarpana Homa and Laghu Purnahuthi.   ( 7:30 TO 8:15 PM)

This is a ritual of worshipping the nine types of grains which were placed in a potted soil and watered which represents the nine planets.

THE UTHSAVA MOORTHIS OF MAHA VISHNU,SRIDEVI AND BHUDEVI  WILL BE PLACED IN THE CENTER OF THE MAIN SANCTUM REPRESENTING LORD RAMA,KRISHNA,BALAJI , &  SWAMINARAYAN AS VISHNU’S AVATARAS AND PERFORM “ASHTAVADHANA SEVA .”

Mahavishnu is known also as “ChathurVedatmaka” (one of the 108 name of Mahavishnu)– Hence, here the priests will be chanting veda mantras from all four vedas – Rig, Yajur, Saama and Atharvana Veda.

Then the Utsava Vigrahas of Maha Vishnu, Bhudevi and Sridevi will be moved  to  the EAST SANCTUM (MAHADWARA0

(a ritual performed using  five ingredients )

The three direct constituents of Panchagavya are : COW DUNG  (GOMAYAM);

And the two derived products are: CURD  (DADHI)  AND GHEE  (AJYAM). 

DURING THIS RITUAL A MIXTURE OF ALL THESE (PANCHAGAVYA) WILL BE SPRINKLED ON THE NEW MOORTIS.

*PANCHAMRUTHA ABHISHEKAM FOR UTHSAVA VIGRAHA OF MAHA VISHNU, SRIDEVI AND BHUDEVI   (3:35 TO 3:55PM)

Netronmīlana (नेत्रोन्मीलन) refers to “opening the idol’s eyes”, according to the fifth chapter of the Agastyasaṃhitā (agastya-brahma-saṃvāda edition), an ancient Pāñcarātra Āgama text . 

Pratiṣṭhāvidhi] Pots are to be placed in a maṇḍala-design, and into them the presence of certain specific deities are to be invoked with mantras.  After Homa is done, Kautukabandha is done to the Moorti’s right wrist, bathing rites performed for the Moortis and then the Moorti’s eyes are ritually “opened” [Netronmīlana]

The three direct constituents are cow dung (GOMAYAM), cow urine (GOMUTRAM), and milk (KSHEERAM) the two derived products are curd (DADHI) and ghee (AJYAM). These are mixed and then allowed to ferment. The Sanskrit word panchagavya means "five cow-derivatives".

      This is to purify the place and vigraha.

      JEEVAADITATVA HOMA

      A ritual of infusing the ultimate energy or life into the new vigraha by offering ajyam, laja(puffed paddy),arali samittu (firewood sticks) for agnideva ( by performing HOMA) ,collecting the ajyam(ghee) from each swahakaaram at the time of performing homa and then offering the ghee to the vigraham

        PAVAMANA HOMA

      Hanuman is Vayu Putra and Pavamana Homa is done to purify Space and the Deity by invoking Bhagavan Vishnu, Pavamana, Hanuman, Agni and Soma through mantras from Rigveda to remove negativity and past sins.

       PURNAHUTHI

      Purnahuti is the final offering made during a sacrificial ceremony. It symbolizes the completion of the ritual and dedication of worship to the Divine.

      Purnahuti signifies the completion of the sacrifice and the surrender of oneself to the Almighty.
