Please Volunteer and be a Seva Karta  

Volunteerism has been a hallmark of our Temple ever since its inception. But for the selfless efforts of so many volunteers, our Temple would not be what it is. Our Priests would not be able to conduct Temple poojas in a grand way they are done. Major festivals could not be celebrated with great devotion and pomp without the efforts of Temple volunteers. This includes cooking in the kitchen and conducting many Sanctum tasks.  

We have had significant turnover of volunteers over the years. This is not surprising, considering how many of our ardent devotees/volunteers have moved on to find jobs elsewhere. Having said that, we recognize that many new people are coming in to make Peoria their residence and calling our Temple  their Temple. This is truly encouraging and heartening. 

We recognize that job changes, changing family priorities and time constraints affect our ability to serve as volunteers. Signing up to be a volunteer should be an easy process on our website (using the link below). Once you are registered as a volunteer and strictly based on your acknowledged time availability, we will reach out to you on a need basis. We try not to impose on too many volunteers at any one time and too much time on any one volunteer.  We want volunteers to feel the ownership and enjoy doing the Seva.
