TEMPLE FACILITY USE/ RENTAL

ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITY TEAMS:

Rental rates do not apply.

WE WELCOME VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS AND TEAMS TO CONDUCT RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL EVENTS AT THE TEMPLE AS "TEMPLE EVENTS" FOR the benefit of the Temple. ALL VOLUNTEERS ORGANIZING THESE EVENTS SHOULD WORK WITH TEMPLE STAFF TO COMPLY WITH Temple Facility Use Policy (posted:  https://hinduheritage.wildapricot.org/event-2908041/Registration ). 

FULL USE OF FACILITY IS PERMITTED WITH CONSIDERATIONS FOR SAFETY AND CAPACITY.

Please consult the rates and Temple Facility Use Policy (posted on the registration page) before you register. Pre-registration will be responded to within 24 hours and your reservation can be confirmed.  

1.LARGE BANQUET HALL/STAGE RENTAL 

(includes partitions/projection system for display) 

for family sacraments/celebrations 

Maximum capacity:350

Note: Reservations will only be held with 25% deposit

  • Friday, Saturday & Sunday:$300 (up to 6 Hours) or $200 if you are conducting family sacrament on the same day in the Sanctum (includes food warming). Food catering or limited use of kitchen is expected. For full use of the kitchen, please consult our Priests (there will be additional rent/requirements). The use of Temple's china or stainless plates and dishwasher is encouraged to minimize the use of paper goods to be good environmental stewards. Temple is not staffed to provide any cleaning help.  Please see Temple Facility Use Policy (posted on the rental page).  
  • Monday through Thursday: Same as above but $100 (up to 3 hours) if you are conducting family sacrament in the Sanctum (includes food warming). 
  • Additional $50 for AV and the use of stage is permitted only after training.  

 2. LOWER MAHADWARA ROOM

(includes partitions/projection system for display) 

for family sacraments/Celebrations

Note: Reservations will only be held with 25% deposit

  • Friday, Saturday & Sunday:$150 (up to 6 Hours) or $75 if you are conducting family sacrament in the Sanctum (includes food warming).Food catering or limited use of kitchen is expected. For full use of the kitchen, please consult our Priests (there will be additional rent/requirements). The use of Temple's china or stainless plates and dishwasher is encouraged to minimize the use of paper goods. Temple is not staffed to provide any cleaning help. Please see Temple Facility Use Policy (posted on the rental page).  
  • Monday through Thursday: Same as above but $50 (up to 3 hours) if you are conducting family sacrament in the Sanctum (includes food warming). 


3. Facility Rental for Wedding: 

We feel each wedding is unique. We will work with the planners to meet the needs to the degree facility use policy permits. In addition to the Priests' services charge of $1001, the facility charges can vary from $500 to $5000 depending on the number of people attending (350 maximum), the meals cooked and served, the use of upstairs Sanctum hall with Mantap, whether the program spans for more than one day.

FACILITY USE POLICY

  • Leave the Facility in better or cleaner condition than when you found it.
  • The renting entity will conform to all the rules, regulations and customs of HTCI
  • Use only that portion of the facility which you have rented
  • Cancellation Policy:  Full deposit will be refunded for written cancellations received 60 days prior to the program date; 50% refunded for cancellations received between 30 and 60 dats prior to the program date; No refund for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the program date
  • Rental is for a set period of time; if it exceeds the allotted time, additional charges will be incurred
  • If the kitchen is also rented for cooking, the renting entity needs to bring all the necessary groceries and paper goods.  What is in the temple is for regular temple use for weekend lunches and Prasad only
  • If the stage and audio/video equipment is rented, the priests or designated volunteer must set up the equipment and it cannot be tampered with.
  • The renting entity is responsible for set up of tables and chairs and for putting it back as it was after the program
  • Footwear is allowed everywhere except in the mezzanine rooms, upstairs auditorium and the adjoining Sanctum.
  • Food and beverages are only allowed in the kitchen, lower level Mahadwara room and the banquet hall.
  • No food or beverages in the Sanctum, upstairs Auditorium or the Mezzanine rooms.
  • Only Vegetarian food and non-alcoholic beverages can be served and Smoking is not permitted inside the facility.
  • Do not leave any left over food in the temple refrigerator
  • Absolutely no staple, thumbtacks, nails, or duct tapes on walls and ceilings are to be used to decorate.  We have partition screens that may be used to decorate
  • Adults must supervise Children at all times.
  • Any Damage to facility will be charged to the renting entity.
  • Homa is allowed only in the fireplace.
  • Take all garbage out including garbage in bathrooms and put it inside the garbage receptacle and close the lid. The garbage dumpster is located adjacent to the parking lot.(Otherwise, raccoons will tear up the bag and spread the garbage all over the lawn). The garbage should be taken out through the back door and notup the stairs.

Before you leave the facility, make sure that:

  1. All toilets are flushed
  2. All lights are turned off

Kitchen & Banquet Hall Specific

  1. The gas valve should be turned on (vertical is closed, horizontal is open) to light the pilots for each of the appliances. They are behind each appliance. They should then be turned off when the cooking is done. 
  2. There can be cooking only under the hood with the exhaust system turned on.
  3. Please make sure that the kitchen is spotless – no dirty dishes in the sink, no food remnants in the sink, and the sink and any and all appliances used are cleaned. Used cooking oil should be poured into the drum placed under the deck just outside the kitchen.
  4. Scrub and Wipe down all the tables down with wet soapy cloth so it is ready for next use.
  5. Be sure to leave the rented areas broom clean.
  6. . Before you leave the facility, make sure that:
    1. All the gas valves to appliances are turned off
    2. The exhaust and the heat switches are turned off    

ADDITIONAL WEDDING INFO

Nearly 500 attendees can gather in the Assembly Hall to witness the wedding being conducted in a temple setting . A beautiful teakwood Mantapam is available for the wedding. The adjoining two-story facility provides a reception area for the arriving guests. The lower level of the Temple has been finished as a Banquet Hall with attached kitchen, catering, rest room and storage facilities. Wedding receptions and banquets can be held here with 300 plus people being served at any one time. Additional people cannot be accommodated in the lower level Mahadwara room.  A performance stage is available to entertain the guests.

What does it include?

  • Auditorium and the audio system
  • Sanctum remains open to the Devotees; but can be used for Deity Pooja as part of the wedding
  • Full use of kitchen and cooking vessels (The Temple will not schedule the Annadatha Program during the wedding weekend)
  • Banquet Hall and the Downstairs Stage with the audio/video functionality
  • Tables and chairs (Available chairs to seat 300 people upstairs and downstairs simultaneously)
  • Setup of tables and chairs, decorating & cleaning is the responsibility of the lessee; the facility is available for set up during the week preceding and the rental weekend
  • While the observed sacrament is private, at no time can there be signs discouraging devotees from seeking entry into the Temple. The signs posted can not deface the facilityin any way.
  • HTCI is designed to conduct religious wedding ceremonies and other family sacraments in a semi private setting without interruption to regularly scheduled Temple programs. While you can bring your own Priest to conduct the services, it is mandatory that the Temple Priest is consulted and involved.
